Rumours have reached me that a Sydney-based commercial radio backroom person - who I won't name unless and until the story is confirmed, but he is not unfamiliar to readers of this blog - has been sacked after a falling out with management.
PS: John Laws is reportedly in talks for an interviewing gig at Channel 7.
Nov 24 update: Funny, last time I saw this page, I'm sure there was another face on it ...

Yep .. he's blown it again !

How many chances was he
How many chances was he meant to be given?
Fair go! He is one of the
Fair go! He is one of the best in the industry.
Just look at the bigger picture.
It’s what the company did to the Stars of the show.
Every day they will need to work harder for the money in the little career time they have to avoid that failure tag next to their name.
When John Laws was on Foxtel
When John Laws was on Foxtel he was without doubt one of the finest interviewers I've ever heard. If C7 were to show some brains and give him a weekly show (he was on nightly on Fox) it would prove to be a masterstroke.I've often said that if John were British,it would be Sir John by now and he would be rightly revered for all he's achieved in a magnificent career.
ps 4BC must be wondering how well their morning line up would be if Jamie Dunn was followed by John Laws.
Just to clarify, the above
Just to clarify, the above quote on 'Yep .. he's blown it again !' refers to Lawsie interrupting that beautiful retirement. Why would you do it John, stay out there & enjoy the long lunch !
"Rumours have reached me
"Rumours have reached me that a Sydney-based commercial radio backroom person" .... if it's who I think it is, he'll have no trouble getting another gig. Best black book in the biz.
