| Christopher Biggins is one of the many celebrities whose fame hasn't travelled far beyond the British borders. That might be about to change. In collaboration with band The RubyCupids, Biggins, a popular panto dame who often pops up on panel and game shows on TV in the UK, is poised to score a novelty smash hit with the song Bingo Wings. It will come as no surprise to anybody viewing the teaser clip, at right, that Biggins is often described as "flamboyant". You can buy the song here. |
Chris certainly is
Chris certainly is flamboyant! ( Not that there's anything wrong with that ) Growing up in the UK I can remember him in loads of things.He played the gay character in Porridge ( Still one of the most underrated TV Comedy series of all time in my opinion ) He was a mainstay on Saturday Morning TV for years...He actually opened my local school fate back in the 80's and was a really nice,decent man.He had a smile and kind word for everyone.It's nice to see that he's still in the business and doing well today.

Most recently Christopher Biggins is known for winning a series of the English game show, "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here"! Whilst the rest of the "celebrities" were falling in a heap, Biggins stole the show with his ready wit. I just wish that I could tell a dirty joke the way that he can....always making it appear clean and that it was the listener who was having dirty thoughts. That's a talent within itself !
Yes, he's very "old
Yes, he's very "old school". This week I saw him on Family Fortunes, a rather more successful version of Bert's Family Feud. I say, come back, Robert Brough, this format still has legs.
