Who's that Joker?

Heath Ledger is reportedly the best cinema villian ever thanks to his performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight. I haven't seen the film, so I'll reserve final judgment, but it seems to me that nobody would dare criticise his performance.
PS: I saw Get Smart and, along with everybody else in the packed cinema, I liked it. I didn't go expecting to see the TV series, which I love, so I wasn't carrying that baggage. Three stars at least, I'd say.

I won't see the film. So I won't criticise Heath Ledger's entire performance as the Joker. Having seen the trailer the other day, the film seems to be more about special effects than anyone's ability to act. As of late, my wife who detests "old" movies has started to watch some of the great films of the 40's, 50's and 60's...with my encouragement, of course ! Of course these films relied on the ability of the actors dealing with good storylines and well written scripts.
Glad that you enjoyed "Get Smart". I generally find that these re-makes of classic series bear little resemblence to the original. That does disappoint me in most instances. But as I said he other day, this one provided laughs and there should be a sequel before long.
