In fairness to Kyle Sandilands, here's a link to a story where explains that he has simply been sick, he's not been axed from Big Brother and he hasn't tried to kill himself.
PS: Speaking of cocky TV presenters, Paul "Fatty" Vautin has had to pull his head in after accusing a doorman at Brisbane's Caxton Hotel of being drunk. The guy in question is epileptic.

Brett, after what happened
Brett, after what happened on Thursday's NRL Footy Show, it has led me to wonder if a Brisbane version of The Footy Show could get off the ground?
Why? A Brisbane version(or more expansively a Queensland version) need not be based around NRL or AFL specificly (Because while in the past Brisbane was traditionally a NRL city, The Brisbane Lions may have changed that perception thanks to winning three successive AFL premierships.)
With the program focusing on the Queensland NRL (Broncos,Cowboys and Titans) and AFL (Lions and GC17) teams, the program could be run with Brisbane versions of popular segments (Street Talk, Almost Football Legends, Mailbag etc...) as well as giving a new avenue to promote the Queensland Cup and QAFL competitions (as the Queensland Cup is on the ABC and the QAFL competition is not televised.)
But the biggest part of a new Brisbane Footy Show Brett, would come at State of Origin time where the Brisbane and Sydney Footy Shows would duke it out for state supremacy!
But who would be the host of a dual-code Brisbane Footy Show?
I would leave that to you Brett.
(Also, I found this video which you might get a laugh out of. [Warning-Contains Paul "Fatty" Vautin As Kyle "Vyle" Sandilands!] http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2OVNghJ5Bk
It's hard to go past
It's hard to go past Billy J. Smith ... but it would have to be Ash Bradnam and David "Luttsy" Lutteral.
Brett, Ash and Luttsy have
Brett, Ash and Luttsy have all the right cards for a hosting position (giving Nova the #1 radio breakfast program on Brisbane radio being their trump card) But the other two on the panel would need to be from both football codes. The league representive will have to be Wally Lewis (it will give him more on-air time than what he has currently), while Brett the AFL representive would be Richard Champion (who in my mind deserves a lot better than reporting on the Great South East on 7 [especially compared to Michael Voss (another former Lions player), who reads sport on Ten]). Throw in Billy J. Smith (to teach the young guns a lesson once in a while), Rob Readings (providing a Gold Coast view on proceddings) as well as a Cowboys correspondent and Brett it probably will rate better than the Sydney version (which has become more Sydney-centric in the last few years) within months.
You are right, but it
You are right, but it will never happen. Networks are too tight with their money.
